Information for Authors
We invite authors to submit their work in two tracks on the conference. The first track is
intended for research papers while the second one is intended for the demonstrations of
projects and developed systems in form of extended abstracts.
Research Papers
HCI-IS conference papers are publications of original research and industry best practices concerning the broader field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Papers should show impact on the development of HCI.
Authors are invited to submit papers describing their research, case studies, practical guidelines and opinion papers. The specific topics embraced by the workshop include all aspects of Human-Computer Interaction and usability engineering.
Demonstrations
HCI-IS demonstrations are extended abstracts of project results or developed systems where participants are invited to submit a brief description of their work and and also present their results at the conference where they will have a chance of gathering additional feedback and comments from the conference attendees. There will be special section and room at the conference where authors will be able to showcase their work.
Writing instructions
Authors should take into account the following:
All papers must be written in English or Slovene and submitted in PDF format. Submissions should be formatted according the double-column format (template: Word, LaTeX ). Papers must be fully anonymous, with no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references. The submission should begin with a title and a short abstract. The camera-ready paper will have 4 pages (including references, figures, affiliations etc.). The authors are encouraged to consider this point when preparing their submission. Papers not conforming to these requirements may be rejected without further consideration.
Submission will undergo a double blind review: authors do not know the names of the reviewers of their papers, and reviewers do not know the names of the authors.
Same directions apply for extended abstracts. The difference is that the contributions will not be subjected to the double blind reviewing process but only to a single blind reviewing process. The extended abstracts should have 1 or 2 pages (including references, figures, affiliations etc.).
Submission Instructions
Please submit your contribution through the conference EasyChair submission system.
Presentation
Authors of the accepted papers will have the possibility to showcase their work either as a presentation at the conference or with a live demo.
